Systweak Toolbar is a browser hijacker that is was designed to promote some commercial websites. The program can be added to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Once inside, the application changes your homepage to search.conduit.com and your default search engine to Systweak Customized Web Search.

If you noticed these changes on your browser that means it was hijacked. Systweak Toolbar is not a virus, but it causes many inconveniences for computer users. The application includes many sponsored websites to your search results and makes your browsing less efficient. This way, it tries to increase traffic for these pages and boost their page ranking.

Systweak Toolbar usually appears on your browser after installing some free programs from CNET, BrotherSoft, Softonic or other download pages as it can be bundled with custom installer on such websites. If you want to avoid such unwanted downloads, always follow the installation steps of the programs you are installing carefully. Deselect pre-checked boxes that inform about recommended to download programs if they are not familiar to you.

Remove Systweak Toolbar from your browsers as soon as you notice it. Uninstall it from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs list first.
